About the Project
Borris The Prince of Whales Plush Toy & Brand
We had the good fortune of connecting with the founding partners of Soft Clothing and helping them achieve their vision for a line of chew safe toys centered around a main character callled “Borris – The Prince of Whales”. Soft Clothing was already innovating in the children’s clothing industry, developing child friendly and soft clothing made of 100% cotton with no tags or elements to their designs that might irritate a child’s skin. They’d expressed a true passion for developing a line of toys that were appropriate for children with special needs, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to help support their vision. We provided strategic consulting and perspectives on developing toys for children with autism, while providing illustration and character design services to help bring Borris to life. Based on the vision that they had for Borris, Cieo felt that bringing in a strategic partner with an eye for Plush design would be ideal, and so we turned to our friends at the Monster Factory, one of Toronto’s most celebrated Plush design companies. Together we worked towards a eco-friendly, chew safe plush prototype with a modern design.
